About Us

Who?

ReadShade is brought to you by a dedicated team of individuals: BlueSkyDefender, papadanku, PHARTGAMES.

What?

ReadShade is a collaborative effort to create a comprehensive guide website for ReShade, a post-processing injector for games and video software. Our aim is to provide clear, accessible, and in-depth information to help users get the most out of ReShade.

When?

The ReadShade project officially began in October 2024.

Where?

ReadShade originated from a community of add-on and shader developers within the broader ReShade ecosystem.

Why?

Our motivation behind ReadShade is to offer a neutral, lightweight, and preservable guide that educates users. We strive to present information objectively, ensuring it remains easily accessible and relevant over time.

How?

We welcome contributions from the community! If you're interested in getting involved, please refer to our contributing guidelines (if available) or reach out to the team members.

Project Status

ReadShade is currently under active development. We are continually working to expand and refine our content.

Technologies Used

The ReadShade website is built using the following technologies:

  • Sphinx: For generating beautiful and functional documentation from reStructuredText sources.
  • Python: The primary programming language used for scripting and Sphinx extensions.
  • reStructuredText: The markup language used for writing the content of the guide.
  • Google Gemini CLI: Utilized for documentation generation and revision.

Contributing

We encourage and appreciate contributions from the community to help improve ReadShade. Please review our CONTRIBUTING.md file (if present) for detailed guidelines on how to submit changes, report issues, or suggest new content.
