I can't add Custom fields to my Project View

Hi,

I am using the Priority custom field in my project and assigned it to some Issues.
However, i am not able to add it to the list of columns in my project views.
This is what i get when i click the + icon. I wonder what i am doing wrong...

This is a common point of confusion. The dropdown in your screenshot only shows fields that have already been added to this specific Project board. Even if you "assigned" a priority to an issue, the Project doesn't know about that field yet.

How to fix it:

If "Priority" is a Label:
Most users track priority using Labels (e.g., priority: high). If that's the case, you won't find a "Priority" field here. instead, just enable the Labels column (it's in your "Hidden fields" list).

If "Priority" is a Custom Field:
You need to explicitly add it to this board.

Click the + New field button at the very top of that dropdown menu (visible in your screenshot).

Type "Priority".

If it's an existing field in your Organization/Repo, it might appear to select. If not, choose "Single select" to create it fresh for this project.

Once created, you can drag your items into the correct priority groups!

Hi @Thiago-code-lab The Priority is not a label. It is Issue Field in the organization Planning setting… An Issue in the project has value assigned (Priority = Medium) Please see screenshot below.
